The original hot hatch is back. The 2007 Volkswagen GTI comes with a 2.0 Turbo 200 horse power engine. A DSG Gear box is available!
2007 Volkswagen GTI is so much better than the earlier Volkswagen GTI models it seems like a different car altogether. That doesn't mean that older Volkswagen GTI's were in any way poor efforts (I bought a new one myself once and loved it) but the new car is way ahead in terms of feel, stability and general dynamic capability, as we'll see. The 2007 Volkswagen GTI six-speed manual gearbox which was a delight to use.
The 2007 Volkswagen GTI 2.0 Liter FSI 4-Cylinder Engine or "fuel straight injection" engine combines the advantages of the direct injection combustion with exhaust turbo charging technology. With FSI, fuel is injected directly into the cylinder, not into the intake manifold as with traditional fuel injection, allowing more precise control of the fuel. |
